Despite tough economic environment, the two operators recorded strong Q3 earnings growth in Q3. SingTel boosted its net profit 19% to SGD 952 million while StarHub’s net profit grew 7.1% to SGD 85.2 million.
SingTel’s mobile revenue in Singapore grew 7.9% to SGD 384 million. 30,000 new postpaid subscribers added in Q3, bringing its regional mobile subscriber base to 273 million.
StarHub increased its mobile subscriber base 8.1% to 1.85 million, its mobile revenue grew 4.7% to SGD 276.8 million.
